Postdoc positions at TDL Institute, Shanghai (deadline 10 December)

The particle and nuclear physics division at the Tsung-Dao Lee Institute (TDLI) in Shanghai, China (http://tdli.sjtu.edu.cn) invites applications for the T. D. Lee Postdoctoral Research Fellow positions in the areas of experimental and theoretical particle physics and cosmology. They welcome highly motivated applicants who have recently obtained a Ph.D. degree or expecting one prior to starting the position, in particle physics or a related field. The initial appointment is for 2 years with possible renewal for a third year. TDLI offers competitive salary (comparable to the same level positions in USA) commensurate with qualifications and subsidized housing options through the university.

The particle and nuclear physics division has three research groups working at frontiers of particle, nuclear physics and cosmology: the Underground Experimental Group, the Collider Experimental Group, and the Theory Group. The successful candidates are expected to work and base in Shanghai. They can collaborate with faculty members at TDLI and related faculties at Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU).

TDLI, initiated by Prof. Tsung-Dao Lee (Nobel Prize in Physics 1957), is a newly established national research institute to host research programs on most fundamental questions in particle physics, cosmology and quantum physics. The current director is Prof. Frank Wilczek (Nobel Prize in Physics 2004). SJTU is the contractor and trustee of TDLI and is in charge of the operation of TDLI. TDLI has an internationalized environment with English as its working language, and invites candidates of all nationalities.

Interested candidates should provide a CV with a list of publications, a statement of research interests and achievements, and at least three supporting letters, which will be sent to to hep.tdli@sjtu.edu.cn. For other inquires, contact Prof. Hong-Jian He (hjhe@sjtu.edu.cn). The review of application will start on Dec. 20, 2018, and last until the positions are filled.
